We’ve rolled out a range of new improvements across ReadyToShip designed to make international shipping simpler, order management more efficient, and carrier pricing more predictable. These updates include clearer warnings for missing customs information, smarter caching of goods descriptions, new item sorting options, enhanced Shopify integrations, and several carrier and printing enhancements. Here’s what’s new.
International orders
When a carrier requires details such as HS Codes, Country of Origin, or Goods Description, and they are not provided, you will see a warning. To help you quickly identify affected items, products missing the required international shipping information are now clearly highlighted in red.To update: expand your order > click the world icon > update the empty fields > save.
Caching Goods Description by product
ReadyToShip can now cache the Goods Description for international orders. Once you update the settings, if you add a custom goods description manually, those details will be saved and reused for any new orders imported, eliminating the need to re-enter the information each time.To update, go to Settings > Stores > update Prioritise cache for values > save
New item sort feature
You can sort pick lists and invoices so that they appear in a more useful order. A new option has been added, allowing you to now choose how to sort items within orders. By default, order items will sort by SKU.
To update, go to Settings > Carriers > update Sort Order Items by > Save
Shopify - Digital products feature
ReadyToShip can now identify Digital Products imported from Shopify.If you need to ship an order internationally where a customer has purchased physical products and digital products, you can "deselect" the digital product to avoid having to declare it on your customs forms and pay duties on it.
Shopify - set HS Codes by country
Shopify provides the ability to create a different HS Tariff Code for each country on each SKU/Product.We will import and use the correct product Tariff code for each product.
Aramex - oversized surcharges
Rate quotes from MyFastway have been improved to automatically include any applicable oversize surcharges.This means the price you see in the ReadyToShip Dashboard is more accurate, helping you avoid surprises when choosing Aramex.
Bye bye Sendle
With the recent disruption to Sendle services, you may still be looking for a reliable alternative delivery provider. For domestic parcels, we recommend switching to either Couriers Please, Aramex or MyPost Business, and DHL for International services.
DirectPrint - Label file available
ReadyToShip now stores a copy of the previous label files printed via DirectPrint. To access files, use the Search function to find the order > expand > click on View Label File.
